Digireg Netherlands in collaboration with Digireg Kenya Limited, is conducting a workshop set to develop a Large-Scale Topography Registration Map(LTR) of Mbale Town. The workshop will equip the Digireg Kenya Limited employees with the necessary skills of creation and maintenance of the LTR.
The Large Scale Topographic Registration Map is made using cutting-edge technology like satellite imagery, GIS, and CAD. The map will improve urban planning in Mbale town by offering data for land use management, zoning, and infrastructure development. It will also promote improved resource management, readiness for disasters, and risk reduction. The map will provide specific information that will help the Planning, Public Works, and Environment Departments, among others make better decisions and provide services more effectively.
